The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Wednesday said that the report of the forensic audit carried out on its books by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) showed that no money was missing as alleged. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Ekiti State Command, on Wednesday expressed its determination to rid the state of drug peddling and abuse. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday struck out a suit seeking to disqualify President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting the 2015 presidential election. Determined to flush Boko Haram insurgents from the northeast, the Nigerian military has commenced an operation in the dreaded Sambisa Forest. The Forest is widely believed to be host to some of the training camps and facilities of the insurgents in the northeast. The Borno State police command in collaboration with troops from the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, have discovered and demobilized 147 bombs on the outskirts of the state capital. The bombs were to have been used by the Boko Haram to attack the state capital.
