The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday rejected the verdict of the panel set up by the state Chief Judge to investigate 16 allegations of gross misconduct levelled against Governor Tanko Al-Makura. Attacks by Boko Haram Islamists in Nigeria’s crisis-hit northeast have forced nearly 650,000 people from their homes, the United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) said Tuesday, an increase of nearly 200,000 since May.
