At least 10 Nigerians have been hospitalised while 25 shops owned by Nigerians have been looted following attacks by organised gangs in South Africa. The President of the Nigerian Union in South Africa, Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on phone from Pretoria, Friday, that the attack began last week in Johannesburg and later spread to Pretoria this week. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) last night made public the names of 15 out of 25 Fulani herdsmen, who were allegedly killed in Keana community in a raid by soldiers on Thursday. According to the National Secretary of MACBAN, Alhaji Sale Bayari, the victims comprised old and young Fulani men.
