    Aviation Minister to deliver 44th Convocation Lecture of University of Nigeria

    Osita Chidoka(From Aviation Ministry, Abuja)- The Minister of Aviation, Osita Benjamin Chidoka has delivered the convocation lecture at the forthcoming 44th Convocation of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State.

    The convocation, which took place at the famous Princess Alexandra Auditorium, Nsukka on Thursday, January 22, 2015 commenced with the Minister’s lecture at noon.

    The topic of the lecture was entitled; ‘Rebuilding the Nigeria Dream: Mapping the Building Blocks.’

    Chidoka, a former Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety commission is an alumnus of the University.

    The Minister obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.  He thereafter proceeded to the School of Public Policy at George Masson University in the United States of America where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Transport Policy and Logistics.

    He also holds a certificate in Global Strategy and Political Economy from Oxford University, UK and a Graduate Diploma in Maritime and Ports Management from the National University of Singapore.

    In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed the Minister of Aviation on July 23rd, 2014 by President Goodluck Jonathan.

    In August, 2014, Osita Chidoka was conferred with the prestigious National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) award by President Goodluck Jonathan in recognition for his productivity and commitment towards nation building.
