Independent National Electoral Commission has declared APC Governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu winner of the March 9, Governorship poll in Lagos State.
He beat his closest rival, Jimi Agbaje with a very large margin of 533,304 votes.
After careful collation of results, INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede disclosed that Sanwo-Olu of the APC received 739, 445 votes in total and was declared winner of the governorship election.
Jimi Agbaje polled 206,141 votes and came a distant second in the polls.
Sanwo-Olu emerged victorious in all the 20 local governments in the state.
APC also won all the 40 state House of Assembly seats in the state.
