The rescheduled Bayelsa State Governorship Primary by All Progressives Congress (APC) to pick a governorship candidate, for the December 5, governorship election could not hold yesterday for reasons yet to be ascertained.
Igbo residents in Bayelsa State, who were celebrating the annual Igbo National Day were seen at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex while there was no sign of APC officials.
Some soldiers, among other security operatives at the venue, who also expressed surprise over the development, told Vanguard that they came to provide security for the primaries, only to learn that the exercise might have been shifted to Wednesday.
However, no official statement was issued for the sudden development by the party in Yenagoa.
Meanwhile, the Timi Alaibe Campaign Organisation, has alleged of plans to use a fresh delegates list for the rescheduled primaries.
Spokesperson of the organisation, Mr Patterson Ogon, who said this in Yenagoa, yesterday, claimed that the plot was been masterminded by some powerful forces in the APC to subvert the will of the people for the rescheduled Bayelsa primaries.
