    Senator Bukola Saraki
    Senator Bukola Saraki

One is no longer in doubt that the emergence of Dr. Bukola Saraki as the President of the 8th National Assembly is a blessing of immerse consequence of positive blessing for the people of Kwara State and the Nation at large. This is simply demonstrated by the progressive steps and show of quality leadership capability of Dr. Saraki in managing the affairs of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria since he assumed the leadership of the hallowed Chambers owing to the fact that he has been able to stair the affairs of the senate progressively away from crashing and also diffusing a lot of national issues which simply would have degenerated into a lot of chaos but alas, the incredible Senate President has always been up to the task and another issue worth respecting the senate president for is how he has been able to hold the very ‘presumed’ to be controversial house ( going by the percentage in numbers of opposite parties) and hence making their differences their binding point and these are few of the magical touch the Senate President has been ascribed with.

Speaking from the home side as a Kwara, standing out among the numerous laudable landmark achievements that won’t call for media glorification is the approval of the construction of Ilorin- Jebba road in the just accented 2016 budget. (least we forget that this 2016 budget is so far the most controversial issue which almost collided the executive and legislative arm of this government again saw the magical touch of the Senate President).

My show of interest on this road borders on the fact that it is one of the major roads linking the North and South but had been neglected by successive administrations from time immemorial thus transformed into death trap to road users claiming gross of lives over the years.

Travelling on the road that has been the most viable commercial route where goods are transported to the entire southern region of the country has become a terrible nightmare with unimaginable palpable fear and apprehension to commuters plying the route.

Sweet as it is, the dynamic leadership imbibed with good vision, love of mankind and a good sense of patriotism of the Senate President, this road among others is now slated to be reconstructed in this year’s budget and whatever yardstick or justification ranging from lobbying or coincidence that wailers might want to tag to inclusion of this road in the budget, we know for a fact that it is simply as a result of our son sitting on the number 3 throne of this country.

This is a clear testimony that with good working relationship between the Executive and the Legislature as exhibited by the exemplary leadership quality of the distinguish Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, a lot of good developments will be witnessed in this present political dispensation.

The people of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy to the fullest in the present political arrangement.

One is convinced that the agenda of the present Senate under the good leadership of the distinguish Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki is to provide enabling laws geared towards complementing the change policies of Presidential Buhari’s led administration in improving the socio-economic situation of the country through provision of adequate infrastructure in order to take this nation out of economic doldrums.

This is why it is important to call on all and sundry including the women of this country and Kwara State in particular, the youths and the generality of the people of this nation to support quality, to support ffine brain, to support leadership per excellence and all other fine qualities whih are trade marks of the distinguish Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki in the Senate and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in their efforts towards providing better lives for the people of this great country.

As we know that the distinguish Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki had given Kwara State new developmental direction through his monumental achievements as Governor of Kwara State, we are more convinced that he will surely do more as the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to promote good and robust legislation in the Red Chambers. We commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his good leadership, transparency and his commitments to transform this nation.
