The media team that had been assigned to the office of Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has been dismantled.
Additionally, Governor Godwin Obaseki told Shaibu to contact the Ministry of Communication and Orientation in the future if he wanted the media to cover his events.
On Monday, Commissioner for Information Chris Osa Nehikhare released a statement from Obaseki in which he made this claim.

When the Deputy Governor’s media crew tried to barge into the hall where the Governor and other dignitaries were already seated during the colloquium commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Midwest Referendum, the Governor issued the following directive: “This directive followed the unfortunate incident that happened during the colloquium.
This action was against the accreditation guidelines set up for reporting on the event.
It’s quite unfortunate that this walkout and disturbance was planned and staged, he said.
