Dr. Salihu Lukman, the former National Vice Chairman North-west of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, to either align himself with the vision of President Bola Tinubu or resign from his position.
In a letter dated April 2, 2024, addressed to Ganduje and leaked to the press in Kaduna, Lukman expressed his conviction that Ganduje’s leadership is in direct opposition to Tinubu’s vision for developing Nigerian democracy.
Lukman, who criticized Ganduje’s leadership style, highlighted the absence of National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, failure to present quarterly financial reports, and the lack of a clearly defined funding framework.

He also pointed out that party organization has weakened in the North-West under Ganduje’s leadership.
He stated, “With all that has taken place since your emergence as the APC National Chairman, it is very easy to conclude that you have simply repeated and deepened all the mistakes of past APC leadership.”
Lukman emphasized the need for Ganduje to either adjust and align himself with Tinubu’s vision for the party or vacate his position as National Chairman.
