Ex-Minister slams FG over poor handling of Boko Haram menace

Elder statesman and First Republic Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, has blamed the federal government for the continued existence of the dreaded Boko Haram sects in the country.

“I’m disappointed in the Nigerian government for its incompetence and poor handling of the Boko Haram issue because it appeared to me that the federal government has just given them a free hand to operate any how they want to,” he said.

Amaechi, who spoke last Sunday at the All Saints’ Catholic Church, Nkpor, near Onitsha, Anambra State, during the 30th anniversary celebration of the ordination of Rev. Fr. Peter Okafor as a priest, said whatever might be the case, the activities of the insurgents should be restricted only to the north.
