The Federal Government has declared Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27, 2016 as public holidays.
The declaration was made in commemoration of the Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.
The government has also declared Monday, January 2, 2017 as a public holiday to mark the New Year.
The announcement was made by Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau via a statement released by ministry spokesman, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Wednesday, December 21.
Dambazau also urged Nigerians to remain supportive of the Muhammadu Buhari administration in its efforts towards building a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.
