Ambassador-designate Reno Omokri has clarified that he never stated he would reject any offer from the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government.
Omokri made the clarification on Wednesday while speaking as a guest on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

His remarks follow his inclusion in the list of ambassadorial nominees recently forwarded by President Tinubu to the Senate for consideration.
Responding to questions during the interview, Omokri explained that his previous comments had been misconstrued.
“That’s not what I said. The question you asked me was that if Tinubu asked me to work with him, would I accept? I said no, it’s not in my DNA,” he said.
He further stated that during meetings with officials of the current administration, he had expressed reservations about taking up certain positions due to his past statements but never ruled out serving the country.
“When I met with the administration’s officials, I said I can’t take certain positions because of certain things that I said earlier. However, I never said I cannot work for Nigeria.
“As an ambassador, I’m going to work for Nigeria. I will be an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Omokri added.
