The Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Christy Atako has recently conducted an inspection tour of the ultra-modern foot bridge project under construction along the busy Aba Road in Port Harcourt.
During the inspection tour, the NDDC boss assured users of the road which also links the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission in the State of safety from accidents and other road hazards while crossing the road. She added that the foot bridge is very significant as the Commission’s top priority has remained the delivery of quality projects.
Christy Akako urged more commitment towards reforming the Commission to ensure rapid and sustainable development in the region while warning NDDC contractors on abandoned projects.
She restated the commitment of the Commission to developing the Niger Delta Region as evidenced in the existence of numerous projects embarked upon by NDDC, assuring that this will improve both the economic and social well-being of the people of the area.
