The Kwara Command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said it arrested 53 drug suspects in the state between January and March.
Emmanuel Danladi, the State Deputy Commandant of NDLEA, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Monday.
He said that the agency impounded 614.99 kilo grammes of hard drugs consisting cannabis, psychotropic drugs and Valium from the suspects.
“About 300.9 kg of cannabis, psychotropic of 6.19kg and Valium of 307.9 kg were recovered from the suspects,” he said.
Danladi said that the suspects had been charged to court.
According to him, the suspects are 44 male, while nine are female. Eight of them have been convicted.
He said 20 hard drug retailers were still undergoing investigation which could lead to the arrest of their distributors and manufacturers.

He said that the agency would not rest on its oars until the state would be drug free.
