The National Industrial Court has strike out the Niger Government suit against the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other unions in the state.
The judge, Justice Maureen Esowe, struck out the case on Thursday following the withdrawal by Gbadeola Egbeola, Counsel to the claimant.
Egbeola, who held brief for Jibrin Okutepa (SAN) had said that report reaching him indicated that the parties had settled out of court.
“Report reaching us this morning show that both parties have settled the matter out of court,’’ he said.
He, therefore, applied that the suit be struck out.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the respondents were again absent and not represented in court.
The NLC, TUC, and other unions had threatened and even embarked on strike in spite of an order restraining them to protest the pay cut by the state government.
