VICTORIA, BC and MANCHESTER, NH–(Marketwired – Mar 6, 2014) – UNIT4 Business Software, the North American subsidiary of UNIT4, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced a significant agreement with Vinfen to provide a cloud deployment of UNIT4 Agresso Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. The agreement includes delivery of a fully-integrated solution including financial management and budgeting, procurement, project costing and billing, HR, and comprehensive web reporting. Vinfen’s short list included Microsoft, Serenic and Intacct, with UNIT4’s Agresso securing the business based on its ability to accommodate business change and its fully-integrated platform.
Vinfen is a private, non-profit health and human services organization providing services to people with psychiatric conditions, developmental disabilities, behavioral health disabilities, and brain injuries. Vinfen currently offers 205 different programs in areas spanning residential services, vocational services, outpatient services and programs targeting adolescents. With an annual budget of $130M, and new programs being launched or modified at a fairly steady pace, Vinfen sought a functionally rich, flexible system that could operate in the cloud.
“We offer a wide range of services and often take on new programs unexpectedly,” states Glen Mattera, CFO at Vinfen. “We needed an agile system that could help us respond to change efficiently so we could focus on more strategic, analytical thinking. Our organization and industry are evolving and Agresso will help us scale operations, streamline regulatory reporting and improve our process flow. We chose a cloud deployment for similar reasons — to alleviate demand on IT staff to concentrate on our core mission,” he adds.
Vinfen is the latest non-profit organization to choose Agresso, joining The Nature Conservancy, MAP International, and Save the Children, among others. “We offer non-profits the right combination of fully-integrated functionality and the flexibility to meet the needs of the future,” states Shelley Zapp, CEO of UNIT4 Business Software. “Non-profits tend to be dynamic organizations that value self-sufficiency; Agresso lets business users make changes to the system so they don’t have to rely on us or on external consultants. By deploying in the cloud, organizations like Vinfen can also reduce their need for internal IT expertise,” she adds.
Vinfen plans to go live with UNIT4 Agresso in the cloud at the end of 2014.
