Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared “inconclusive” the just concluded Saturday’s 22nd September 2018 governorship election in Osun State because the difference between the two leading parties (PDP and APC) was just 353 votes but the number of cancelled votes was 3,5498.
In view of the above, INEC has disclosed that there will be Re-run Election which will hold on Thursday, 27th of September, 2018 in polling units in Ife North, Ife South and Orolu Local Government areas.
The following polling units were declared as “Cancelled” during the live broadcast of election result:
- Orolu – 2 Units
- Ife South – 1 Unit
- Ife North – 1 Unit
- Osogbo – 1 Unit
