The Police Service Commission (PSC) has finalized preparations for the 2025 recruitment of cadets and constables into the Nigeria Police Force, the Commission announced on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, the PSC disclosed that its Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (retd.), led a high-level management delegation on a visit to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) in Abuja to seek collaboration for a transparent and secure recruitment process.
Argungu, during the visit, emphasized the importance of leveraging protected and verifiable data to ensure the recruitment of only credible and qualified Nigerians into the police force.

“Data rules the world. With accurate and protected data, we can plan and ensure proper background checks on all applicants who seek a career in the Nigeria Police Force,” Argungu stated.
He further noted, “We are here to fortify the Commission’s recruitment exercise. We need to know who we are recruiting, and we want to partner with you to make it a success.”
The PSC Chairman also revealed that the Commission will soon commence the recruitment of cadets and 30,000 constables annually, as approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The visit signals a move towards a more transparent, data-driven recruitment process aimed at reforming and strengthening the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force.
