Senator George Akume, representing Benue North west district on my body, has failed in his bid to come back to the Senate for the fourth time.
But he eventually lost out to Mr. Orker Jev, who is a PDP candidate.
The former governor lost in last Saturday’s National Assembly election to People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidate and member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Orker Jev.
Announcing the result, read out by Prof. Nichodemous Ogbulu, who was the collation officer in charge, PDP emerged the winning party with a total of 157,726 votes.
George Akume got 115,422 votes to face his first major L since 2007 when he fist won an election in the Senate.
