Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has personally apprehended motorcyclists riding against traffic on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The incident occurred while the governor was en route to the inauguration of the Femi Gbajabiamila Conference Centre at the Ojo campus of Lagos State University (LASU) on Tuesday.
In a video that has since gone viral, Governor Sanwo-Olu is seen alighting from his vehicle with his security aides to arrest the erring officers.

The governor’s media aide, Wale Ajetunmobi, shared the clip on the governor’s official media platform, stating, “Governor Sanwo-Olu effecting the arrest of the offending officer.”
During the encounter, Governor Sanwo-Olu directed the security operatives to take the offenders into custody, expressing his resolve by saying, “Put him there, let your father come and rescue you.”
When one of the offenders claimed to be a soldier, Governor Sanwo-Olu responded firmly, “That’s the more reason I’m going to lock you up. You are telling me you are a soldier. Useless boy.
You are telling me you are a soldier. Lock him up.”
The governor’s hands-on approach to enforcing traffic regulations underscores his commitment to maintaining orderliness on Lagos roads and ensuring the safety of all road users.
