The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ ad Abubakar, yesterday, warned President Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari and others seeking political offices not to take the forthcoming elections as do-or-die affair.

Jonathan, who is running on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Buhari, the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) are the frontrunners for the March 28 presidential election.

The Sultan noted that winners of polls had been pre-destined by God.

“While they struggle for electoral success, they should also consider the well-being of the country after elections,” the Sultan said when the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Johnson Olawumi, paid him a pre-election advocacy visit at his palace in Sokoto.
