Jumia Nigeria in partnership with ‘1 Child 1 Book’ Foundation have initially been running a CSR monthly book drive, a partnership that saw the duo nominated in the Best CSR Initiative of the Year in the recent World retail Awards 2014. With the goal of supporting quality education in the life of a Nigerian child and is now taking it a step further this Yuletide. “Our Mission is through the involvement of dynamic partners, provide sustainable tools that will further the educational development of Nigerians, starting with primary school education and we, in collaboration with Jumia Nigeria, we will stop at nothing to ensure this becomes a reality” Tosin Jegede, 1 Child 1 Book.
To further promote literacy, this Christmas, Jumia together with the ‘1 Child 1 Book foundation’ an initiative of the Tosin Jegede Foundation will be embarking on building a state-of-the-art Library with up-to-date tools such as computers, game sections and many other learning tools for the Nigerian Children across the state.
