Former Abia State governor and serving senator, Orji Uzor-Kalu, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is aware of the current hunger in the country and is making bold decisions to reverse the situation.
Uzor-Kalu made this statement on Thursday during a New Year visit to the Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Okoro-Emegha, at Ekoli, Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to Uzor-Kalu, President Tinubu is focused on implementing measures aimed at fostering economic development, despite the challenges involved.

“The President is currently taking hard decisions centered on economic development. The President is very bold to take such hard decisions.
I might not be bold enough to take such decisions if I was the President, as he is telling Nigerians that we should start afresh,” Uzor-Kalu stated.
He expressed personal sadness over the current situation in the country and called on Nigerians to be patient and understanding as Tinubu’s administration works to deliver solutions.
“We would soon see the big light at the end of the tunnel,” he added.
Uzor-Kalu also noted that his visit to the APC chairman was part of his annual tradition to strengthen his relationship with Okoro-Emegha, whom he referred to as his “political son.”
In his remarks, Okoro-Emegha expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasized the enduring bond between him and Uzor-Kalu.
It was gathered that Okoro-Emegha previously served as an aide to Uzor-Kalu during his tenure as Abia State governor from 1999 to 2007.
