Former President Donald Trump has secured a significant victory in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, emerging as the projected winner just minutes after the final polls closed.
This win solidifies his position as the leading contender for the Republican Party nomination, with Nikki Haley being his final major rival in the race.
In a historic achievement, Trump becomes the first non-incumbent GOP candidate in the modern era to triumph in both Iowa and New Hampshire, showcasing his broad appeal within the party.

As the results were being tallied, Trump garnered 146,577 votes, representing 54.2% of the total, while Haley secured 118,027 votes, standing at 43.7%.
Expressing his gratitude for the outcome, Trump stated to Fox News Digital’s Brooke Singman, “I’m very honored by the result,” underscoring the significance of this win for his campaign.
Haley, a former two-term governor of South Carolina who also served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration, acknowledged Trump’s victory in her speech to supporters in Concord, New Hampshire.
She congratulated him on his win but emphasized that the race is far from over, pointing to the upcoming primary in her home state of South Carolina next month.
“I want to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory tonight. He earned it and I want to acknowledge that.
This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go. And next one is my sweet state of South Carolina,” Haley affirmed, highlighting her determination to continue competing.
While Trump maintained a lead over Haley as the votes were being counted, his margin remained in the single digits, indicating a closely contested primary.
Trump’s candidacy has been marked by historical significance, as he became the first former or current president to be indicted for a crime last year.
Despite these legal challenges, his support among Republican voters has remained strong, with his four indictments seemingly bolstering his standing within the party.
The outcome of the New Hampshire primary sets the stage for further developments in the Republican nomination race, with both Trump and Haley poised for a competitive contest in the upcoming primaries.
