Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has justified the support President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is giving the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He made this clear when he paid a Christmas visit to Oritsejafor at his residence in Warri, commending the CAN’s President for the great role he played in restoring peace to Delta State.
Uduaghan who was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Warri Federal Constituency, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju and other top government officials, praised the CAN’s President for supporting the administration of President Jonathan.
The Governor also disclosed that Oritsejafor made great sacrifice, sometimes at the risk of his life working with the State Government to restore peace to the State, explaining that people like the CAN’s President put in a lot of hard work and prayers for the prevailing peace in the State.
Oritsejafor in his response thanked Uduaghan for felicitating with him during the Christmas season and acknowledged the humble disposition of the Governor, attributing the successes of his administration to that unique attribute.
In a related development, Governor Uduaghan has thanked the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II, when he paid him a visit in his palace, appreciating the monarch for ensuring that there was peace in his domain for developmental projects to take place.
The Governor noted that because of the peaceful disposition of the Olu, a lot of projects were going on in his domain, disclosing that the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has approved the sitting of a 16 billion dollars gas gathering plant in Delta State.
He also informed the monarch that work on the Ode-Itsekiri Bridge, Koko-Ugbenu road dualization and Abigborodo road had reached advanced stages of completion.
The Olu in his response thanked Governor Uduaghan for his achievements and prayed God to give him more strengthen and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
