Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said the welfare of workers and retirees will be a priority for his government if he is elected.
His words, “Our government will not be harsh on workers. We aim to deliver a Lagos that will be greater than the current level of development.”
“As a way of proffering a lasting solution to the gridlock, we will bring back the idea of industrial park for the trucks.
“Rather than obstructing the road while waiting for their turn, the truck drivers can go there and park their vehicles.”
Sanwo-Olu said his government would work on the introduction of a housing scheme in partnership with the organised labour, saying this scheme would aid both the government and the workers.
He then vowed that his administration would ensure the process of issuing Certificates of Occupancy is not flawed.
