Aston Villa has officially entered the race to bring Joao Palhinha back to the EPL. The club’s transfer chief, Damian Viadagany, recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Confirming that Aston Villa is actively negotiating with Bayern Munich to sign Palhinha, Damian revealed that the midfielder has emerged as Emery’s priority as the club looks to maintain their competitive edge in both domestic and European competitions.

He, however, added that while both clubs are currently in talks, there is no agreement thus far.
His words, “We are in talks, but there is currently no agreement. If something should happen, it is always on the basis of the great respect we feel for FC Bayern. We are friendly clubs; our relationship with Max Eberl, Christoph Freund and all other responsible persons is excellent. Therefore, I cannot and do not want to comment on any further details.”
