The whereabouts of the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Mohammed Idrissa Timta, two days after the attack and capture of his town still remain unknown.
According to SR sources, nobody knows about the present location of the newly installed Emir of Gwoza, Mohammed Timta.
The Senator representing Borno South in the National Assembly, Mohammed Ali Ndume, who is also an indigene of Gwoza, told journalists in a telephone interview on Thursday that he has tried to speak with the paramount ruler for two days now without success.
He said the last he heard about the ruler was that during the attack and the subsequent capture of Gwoza. The military said they tried to rescue him.
“I wish the rescue mission was successful and the emir is safe,” he said.
An indigene of the town, Solomon Pagu however revealed to journalists in Maiduguri that the emir found his way into Maiduguri after he escaped from the town.
