Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has hailed the incredible work ethic of Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal. This comes as the teenager battles to be fit for the 2026 World Cup, and fans have been reacting.
Despite being sidelined for the remainder of the domestic season, Luis de la Fuente revealed that he remains confident that the winger will return in time to make a big impact on the international stage.

He added that Yamal has been training three hours a day to be ready for the much–anticipated tournament.
His words, “Apart from his great talent, he trains three hours a day, goes to the gym, visits his physio, his nutritionist and his psychologist, and gives himself to his invisible training, which is the most important thing. Invisible training is something that many people are unaware of. It’s about being 24 hours thinking about your work. Nobody gives Lamine anything.
I talk about Lamine because I know him very well. God willing, he will arrive at the World Cup as well as possible.
We contemplate all the scenarios. If you are winning, if you are losing, if the opponent is left with ten… There are players who can give you 20 minutes and that also has enormous value. Olmo arrived injured, we were about to rule him out, but then he was decisive in the European Championship.”
WOW.
Futbol Club Barcelona is a professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, that competes in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football.
Founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, Catalan, German, and English footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto “Més que un club” (“More than a club”). Unlike many other football clubs, the supporters own and operate Barcelona. It is the third-most valuable sports team in the world, worth $5.51 billion, and the world’s fourth richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turnover of €582.1 million.
The official Barcelona anthem is the “Cant del Barça”, written by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs. Barcelona traditionally play in dark shades of blue and garnet stripes, hence nicknamed Blaugrana.
In March 2021, Lionel Messi overtook Xavi’s record of 767 games played for the club, and presently has made 778 official appearances in all competitions, while also holding the record for the most appearances in La Liga matches for Barcelona, with 520.
