Nigeria has raised alarm over decline in global crude oil prices, but said measures have been put in place to cushion the effect of the dip on the country’s economy. “Nigeria has two to three months of rainy day savings to cushion it while contingencies are put in place should world oil prices continue to fall,” Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the country’s Finance Minister told Financial Times. Gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect has killed five people in an attack on market in Miringa, a village in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.
