The nongovernmental organization, also said, the additional N2billion voted for commercial agriculture credit scheme by the CBN is commendable.
The secretary of the group, Malam Mohammed Ibrahim gave the commendation at a media chart in Kaduna on Friday, April 22, 2015.
Ibrahim said the move in disbursing the funds to small scale businesses by the CBN as loans will boost the nation economy most especially now that there is dwindling price in oil revenue.
The Northern group Secretary said the agricultural fund will not only boost food production, but will also provides job opportunity to the teeming unemployed youth.
Ibrahim who said the CBN policy will boost the production of cassava, wheat and rice added that N300 billion has been earmarked to address the lingering power supply across the country which if completed, will aid small scale businesses to grow.
“The loan to this effect is a single digit interest,” Ibrahim said while calling on Nigerians to rally round the present administration to succeed.
