The Chief Imam of Tede in the Oke Ogun geo-political zone of Oyo State, Alhaji Ahmad Tijani Adedigba, has passed away.
Until his demise, he served as the Chairman of the Oke Ogun League of Imams and Alfas.
Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde expressed sorrow over the news, describing the late Adedigba as a remarkable leader and advocate for peace.

The governor highlighted the significant contributions of the deceased in fostering religious harmony within the Oke Ogun area of the state.
In a statement released to the media on Sunday, Governor Makinde conveyed his condolences, stating, “The late Chief Imam was a man of peace and a great leader, who provided direction to the Imams and Alfas body and contributed to the peaceful religious atmosphere in Oke Ogun.”
Acknowledging the impact of Alhaji Ahmad Tijani Adedigba, Governor Makinde added that the entire Muslim community would feel the void left by the Chief Imam’s passing.
While expressing his condolences, Governor Makinde said, “While submitting to the will of Allah and praying to God to grant his soul Aljanah Firdaus and also abide with everyone he left behind, I am certain that the body and the Muslim Ummah in Tede will miss his immense contributions.”
The passing of Alhaji Ahmad Tijani Adedigba marks the end of an era for the religious community in Oyo State, with tributes pouring in for the late Chief Imam’s dedication to fostering unity and peace among the faithful.
