Chelsea youngster, Callum Hudson-Odoi has said Frank Lampard’s return to the club played a major role in his decision to reject Bayern Munich earlier this year.
The teenager wanted out of the Bridge in January, after getting frustrated under Maurizio Sarri and Bayern were reportedly interested.
The German club even submitted a bid of £22.5 million ($29m) in June, but Chelsea turned it down and Hudson has now said he had to make up his mind to continue his development under Lampard.
His words, “Him coming here is a big feeling for all of us because he was talking before about how he likes young players and I had an idea in my head that if he comes here it will be great for us,”
“As soon as he came I thought: ‘yep this is it’. I had a few chats with him and thought this is perfect, I want to stay here.”
Can he succeed at the London club?
