The Chairman of the National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, Richard Onwuka Egbule has advised members of staff of the Commission to take advantage of the medical facilities available and regularly examine and take good care of themselves to avoid complications arising from health – related diseases.
Onwuka Egbule was speaking on Thursday July 31, 2014 in Abuja when a 2 – man delegation from the Swiss Garde Health Talk led by Ebere Osuagwu paid a visit to the Commission. The Chairman urged the Commission’s staff to effectively conduct checks on themselves, saying various health complications in the country have sometimes arisen from negligence.
In his brief address read on his behalf by the Director of Administration, Prince Mathew Titiloye, the Chairman of the Commission said that Swiss garde is an international South African Company involved in the production of healthcare products from normal food concentration and medicinal plants. According to him, they need to regularly carry out medical checks on themselves since “Health is Wealth.”
He added that they are meant to serve as balanced nutrient addition to the present day highly nutrient – deficient foods and to be used to alleviate the effect of many ailments and diseases. “The essence of the supplement is because our body’s daily nutrient requirement is usually reduced due to highly – polluted environments. Carbon emission from cars, generating sets and motorbikes cause serious health hazards and carbon monoxide which escapes into the atmosphere brings down acid rain upon the fruits and vegetables which we consume virtually every day,” he noted.
The one-day seminar afforded the staff at the forum opportunity to really examine and assess themselves in health – related matters. This was the third time the Commission had permitted the organization of such medical seminars for its staff in the last two years.
