Abiola AjimobiGovernor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Saturday described the All Progressives Congress as the only party that could promote development in all sectors of the national economy.

Ajimobi, the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, said this at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, while flagging off his campaign.

The governor, who said that he deserved a second term in office as a result of his achievements, stressed that the successes he recorded were unprecedented in the history of the state.

Also speaking at the forum, Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, advised the people of the state to monitor their votes until they were counted.

He also implored the people of the state to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards before the polls.

“Just like Fayemi worked in Ekiti, Ajimobi has turned Oyo State around for the better; so it is better to allow him to continue for another four years”, he said.

A former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, described Ajimobi as a dependable and reliable leader.

According to him, Ajimobi represented a group of intellectuals with vision and capacity to make the people the cornerstone of economic policy.

Speaking in the same vein, a former governor of Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, called on voters in the state to ensure that they returned Ajimobi for a second term, saying “that is the only way to sustain the gains of democracy which he started”.
