Osun State government, in partnership with the World Bank has trained over 300 youths across the state on the FADAMA III programme. This is a bid to boost food security in the state and Nigeria as a whole. Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Chief Isaac Ishola, said that the state government has directed all the religious centres and social clubs in the state to remove their external speakers within two weeks or face the wrath of  the law, disclosing that over 600 offenders have been tried for violating environmental laws. The Osun State Government has called on the people of the state to be vigilant and maintain the highest hygiene standard possible in the light of current reported cases of Lassa Fever in some states in the South West such as Lagos and Ogun. Osun State Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology has commenced four weeks training on Information Communication and Technology (ICT) organised for Civil Servants in the State of Osun. The event was declared open by the by the Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology Engineerg Oluremi Omowaiye. Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akinyemi Ashade yesterday announced the state’s closure of the N85,140,000,000 Series 2 Bond Issuance geared towards improving the physical and social infrastructure in the State.
