Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out to say that he would have only substituted Ronaldo if he asked. He recently revealed that Ronaldo needs more minutes on the pitch to get back in the groove.
According to him, Ronaldo has already introduced himself to the rest on the squad and the atmosphere around the club and team has been electric.
He added that the supporters have definitely enjoyed the last 10 days and he expects more wonderful support in the future.
His words, “He said his name is Cristiano, that’s as much as I can say.”
“I didn’t want to take him off unless he wanted to. He needs mins, he’s lost a few games for Juventus and Portugal, he needed to get 90 minutes into him.”
On if Ronaldo has spoken to his teammates, “Of course, everyone when they come into the team they have to introduce themselves, maybe not everyone knows his name. They do now.”
“The atmosphere around the club has been electric, the supporters have enjoyed the last 10 days, loads of expectations on the team today and he’s delivered.”
