The Nigerian Army says troops under Operation Lafiya Dole have retaken Gamboru Ngala in Borno State from Boko Haram terrorists, who had recaptured the town from the military after the community was initially liberated by troops.
In a statement on Tuesday by Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, the army described Gamboru Ngala as “economic and strategic”.
The statement added that “the triumphant troops are now busy with clearing and mopping up patrols”.
