In commemoration of the Global Hand Washing Day, the World Health Organization has outlined guidelines for safe washing of hands. The World Health Organization has on thursday October 15, which marks the Global Hand Washing Day, prescribed the use of alcohol based hand-rub to scrub the hands for a minimum period of 20 seconds and maximum period of 30seconds. The rate of tuberculosis reduced before covid-19. In a bid to aid the containment of the novel coronavirus, personal protective equipment has been donated to the University College Hospital Ibadan. The equipment which was donated to the University College Hospital by Mikano International Limited, a power generating company based in Nigeria was reported to have been produced by “Mikano Medicals”, which is a unit under the “Mikano Company”. The Nigerian Center For Disease Control, (NCDC), has today given a report on the prevalence of diseases in Nigeria. The Nigerian Center For Disease Control, subject to the information received from the ‘Multi-sectoral Technical Working Group’ on each disease gave report on 8 different diseases. In the last six days, no covid-19 complicated death have been recorded in Nigeria. According to the latest update by Nigeria Center For Disease Control, (NCDC), only one covid-19 death has been recorded so far in october 2020. Yesterday 9th of october, 151 new covid-19 cases were confirmed in Nigeria, making the total number of confirmed cases to be 59, 992, while 51,614 cases have been discharged and 1113 deaths recorded.
