A 300-Level female student of Bayero University Kano has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers. Sakina Bello, a student from Kano, was taken on Tuesday in the Janbulo and Rijiyar Zaki parts of the city. The kidnappers allegedly phoned her relatives on Wednesday morning and demanded a ransom of N100 million. DSP Abdullahi Haruna, the spokesman for the Kano State Police Command, verified the event when contacted. He said that around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the police received a report of a missing person and immediately began investigating the case.
