The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator Dapo Abiodun has presented the 2021 financial budget before the Ogun State House of Assembly. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has announced to the general public that it has received information from the China Food and Drug Administration against regular consumption of Swiss Alpine Green Tea manufactured by Bio Suisse, Switzerland. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has warned the general public against taking more than the recommended doses of diphenhydramine (Benadryl); an allergy medicine. NAFDAC stated that the continuous taking of an overdose of the drug, is capable to cause serious heart problems, seizures, coma, or even death. The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria has identified the continued closure of Nigeria land borders as a threat to the Nation’ economy. The bill for the rehabilitation of major roads was approved during the FEC meeting yesterday. The bill for the rehabilitation of major roads was presented among two other bills. The Federal Inland Revenue Service has announced that the time limit for waivers of penalties and interest on outstanding taxes arising from desk examinations and audit exercises is December 31. This was made known in a statement made by, the Director, Communications and Liaison Department of the FIRS, Mr. Abdullahi Ahmad. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has announced that it has received information that the Chilean Institute of Public Health has issued a warning on the circulation of fake hydroxychloroquine sulphate-based medication, Reumazine tablets. NAFDAC stated that the Reumazine tablet has been circulated in some African countries and the use of this drug pose a threat to health. The National Insurance Commission, (NAICOM), has given insurance companies in Nigeria, guidelines for windows operations. This was stated in a circular released by NAICOM. In the circular was stated the full guidelines for an insurance company to granted windows operations. The Central Bank of Nigeria, has announced that it has made an amendment to the the receipt of diaspora remittances. The apex Bank stated this in a post released on its page. Following the amendment, people who are beneficiaries of diasporal remittances through the International Money Transfer Operators will now receive such through US Dollars in the bank of their choice.
