Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has approved the immediate reinstatement of the Executive and Legislative arms of Abeokuta South Local Government Area. They were suspended on Wednesday, February 12 following a fracas that broke out in the hallowed Chamber of the Council. Few days after the disaster which plagued the Immigration Department’s recruitment exercise across the country, commissioners in charge of Budget and Planning in 16 states being governed by Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) have moved towards formulating policies that would tackle unemployment in their states. The Ogun State Government today made good its promise of paying compensations to farmers whose crops had to give way to some of its infrastructural developments as about N20m was paid to 151 farmers in Itoku Elewe Irepodun Community in Kobape, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the State. The Ogun State Government has issued guidelines for property inspections which have commenced under its ongoing Homeowners’ Charter Programme to minimize inconvenience for residents and maximize efficiency in the process. Under the guideline, the State Government will work through Community Development Associations (CDAs), Residents Associations and other groups to organize group inspections of properties.
